About · Founder to Founder

You never die from building a bad product.
You die from having no one to buy it.

Everyone sells you the SaaS dream. Code once, sell infinitely. 90% margins. Freedom. No one tells you about the wall.

That wall has buried more startups than all the competition combined. If you're reading this page, you're probably getting hit by it right now.
I got hit by it too.

The story

I know your pain because I signed it at the bottom of an invoice

My name is Albert. Before software, I spent more than 20 years in real estate. The trenches, real negotiations, sleepless nights. I even wrote two books about it.

I thought I knew how to sell.

Then I launched Royal Sybaris, my SaaS platform. Bootstrapped. No investors. No VC cushion to absorb my mistakes. Just my cash, my time, and a conviction.

And then the ground collapsed.

Because a product that works doesn't sell itself. Because the web is an ocean of noise where your brilliant offer drowns in silence. Because between you and your first customer, there are 10,000 competitors screaming louder.

So I did what every panicked founder does: I opened my wallet.

I hired agencies. They sent me beautiful reports. "+340% impressions." "Average position 4.2." "Click-through rate up." Charts going up. Soothing colors. Perfect jargon.

And at the end of the month, I looked at my real dashboard — the revenue one — and it wasn't moving.

The most expensive lie in entrepreneurship

Two dashboards. Only one tells the truth.

◆ THE AGENCY REPORT — "IMPRESSIONS"
The click counter went up.
◆ MY REAL DASHBOARD — PAYING CUSTOMERS
The paying customer counter stayed at zero.

I burned budget on trendy tactics. I chased metrics that never paid a single bill.
I got played by people optimizing their report, not my business.

The breaking point

Stop counting clicks. Start counting dollars.

One night, I'd had enough. I closed the agency dashboards. I grabbed a blank sheet. And I asked myself the only question that matters when your business is on the line:

"Is this action going to bring me a paying customer, yes or no?"

Not a visitor. Not an impression. A customer. That day, everything shifted.

I realized that SEO and SEA aren't technical disciplines reserved for wizards. They're sales channels. Period.

A keyword isn't a keyword. It's a person, at a specific moment in time, with a burning problem and a credit card in their pocket. Your only job is to be there, at the right moment, with the right promise.

I stopped trying to be number one on Google. I started trying to be remarkable to the 3,000 people who are the only ones who can buy from me.

That's exactly what Seth Godin calls the Purple Cow: in a field of identical brown cows, nobody notices one more brown cow. Be purple, or be invisible.

My SEO and SEA became purple. Surgical. Obsessed with one thing: return on investment. Every dollar spent had to bring back more than a dollar. Otherwise, we cut it. No hesitation.

This wasn't marketing anymore. This was survival turned into a system.
The proof

It made Royal Sybaris work.

This approach isn't conference room theory. It's what took Royal Sybaris from silence to traction. When I stopped buying clicks and started buying customers, the numbers finally told the truth:

I won't tell you it was easy. That would be a lie, and we've already swallowed enough lies. But it worked. Because it was built on the only thing that matters: real business, not vanity metrics.

Why seo-sea.fr exists

And why it's NOT just another agency

Right now, somewhere, a founder is sitting at their desk at 11 PM. They've built something they're proud of. And they're staring at a customer counter that won't move, wondering if they can make it one more month.

That was me. It might be you.

And I refuse to let them get destroyed by the same agencies that speak in jargon, charge in promises, and deliver in useless graphs.
